There was something about the way Souji said that that reminded Toshi of the fine scars he knew crisscrossed Souji's body under his clothing - ones that were neat and deliberate, in contrast to Toshi's own ragged ones. They had an implicit understanding that Toshi did not ask about them, didn't ask what he had condoned with his silence - but it did make him reconsider how much of a grouch he was being.
