That would involve abdominal muscles, which was a bad plan when someone had gone and violently punched a hole through them. "And let me know if I should stop." All things considered, he wasn't that heavy, though, and it wasn't that hard to start getting him upright. Whether he'd really want to stay that way remained to be seen.
