"It's not far, at least." Not that anywhere in the apartment could really be considered that, given its size. He sat next to Hijikata on the bed, and slid his arm behind his back. "Lean on me as much as you need. I can handle it." He didn't want him reopening any wounds because he thought he was being a burden.
